Beverly Hills

"Beverly Hills - That's where I want to be!" -Weezer

During our California trip last year, we met up with one of Ben's family closest family friends (Mike) for dinner. During dinner, Mike insisted we return to California and stay with her. Since we were going to be flying over California this trip and tickets were the exact same price regardless of if we stopped or flew straight through to Hawaii, we figured we might as well have an extended layover in SoCal.

Ben's favorite part of the stop was entertaining Mike's rottweilers, Buster and Cody, for two days.

Mary-Kate and Ashley... we used to have so much in common, but now we only share our age and summer birthdays.

Enjoying the French cheese shop on Rodeo Drive.

The highlight of the trip was watching a movie at the Academy. We'll always remember where we were when Obama announced Osama was dead: at the Academy watching Vin Diesel say one liners in Fast Five.

Our gracious host. Ben was 14 years old when his parents became friends with Mike, so he's now known her for exactly half of his life. She played a big role in helping him decide to go to Georgetown, even when others were skeptical. He often quotes her advice: "You'll regret the things you didn't do more than the things you did."
